A iniciativa de Perú y Colombia, la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) ha convocado para el primer semestre del año 2021 a una Asamblea General Extraordinaria contra la Corrupción!!
Esta Asamblea tiene por objeto acordar acciones para prevenir y combatir la corrupción a nivel global, y fortalecer la cooperación en el tema.
Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno de los países miembros de la ONU se reunirán el 2021 en la sede de las Naciones Unidas en Nueva York, pero su etapa preparatoria se iniciará en breve.
Anunciamos un sueño!
En Augsburgo anunciamos un sueño, que para el 2021 la ONU convoque a la Primera Asamblea Mundial sobre Voluntariado. No ha sido así. Pero, la convocatoria que la ONU ha decidido, nos da la oportunidad de mostrar en nuestros países, que el Voluntariado es una forma de educación en valores y participación ciudadana, por lo tanto, un elemento vital en la prevención y lucha contra la corrupción.
Impulsemos desde la sociedad civil, espacios de diálogo y debate, evaluación y propuestas sobre el tema, rumbo a los espacios que habitualmente se reservan para la sociedad civil en las Asambleas de la ONU y en los espacios paralelos desde los que la sociedad civil se expresa y aporta a los Estados.
En otras palabras, casi un sueño cumplido!!
Gracias y felicitaciones a IAVE por la oportunidad, gracias y felicitaciones a todos y cada uno de ustedes, por escucharnos, y un reconocimiento especial a quienes respaldaron esta iniciativa.

Move forward!
At the initiative of Peru and Colombia, the United Nations Organization (UN) had convened an Extraordinary General Assembly against Corruption for the first semester of the year 2021!!
The purpose of this Assembly is to agree on actions to prevent and combat corruption at the global level, and to strengthen cooperation on the subject.
Heads of State and Government of the member countries of the UN will meet in 2021 at the United Nations headquarters in New York, but their preparatory stage will begin shortly.
We announced a dream!
In Augsburg we announced a dream that by 2021 the UN will convene the First World Assembly on Volunteering. It has not been like that. But, the call that UN has decided, gives us the opportunity to show in our countries, that Volunteering is a form of education in values and citizen participation, therefore, a vital element in the prevention and fight against corruption.
Let’s promote from civil society, spaces for dialogue and debate, evaluation and proposals
on the subject, towards the spaces that are usually reserved for civil society in the UN Assemblies and in the parallel spaces from which civil society expresses itself and it contributes to the States.
In other words, almost a fulfilled dream!!
